Payam scored in the top 200 nationally in his year at his IMT interview, which he sat while applying to more than one specialty, and ranked very highly for Core Surgical Training, where he took a plastic surgery themed post. He then won a national training number in neurosurgery, so he has been through both the medical and the surgical interviews and done well in each.
He graduated twice from Imperial College London: first class honours in Neuroscience and Mental Health (BSc), where the Malcolm-Morris Memorial Prize for graduating first in his cohort was one of more than a dozen academic prizes, then medicine (MBBS) with distinctions in medical sciences, clinical sciences and clinical practice. He has contributed to multiple peer reviewed publications across neurosurgery, neurobiology, medical education and public health.
Payam was really helpful for my own interview prep, and trust me, he's good. Even though he's now a surgeon, he's one of the most knowledgeable doctors I know so he gave great advice for my IMT mocks.
